Auto repair invoice template
Labor, parts and shop supplies on one clean invoice. Open it, swap in your job, send it.
A repair invoice should let the customer see what was fixed, how long it took and what parts cost. This template separates labor from parts and leaves room for the vehicle details.
What this template includes
- Labor in hours and parts as separate lines
- Space for vehicle make, model and plate in the line detail
- Sales tax on parts only, as a starting point you can change
- Payment due on pick-up
Sample names and amounts are placeholders. Change everything in the editor.
How to use this template
1. Open the template
Click the button above. The editor opens with the lines, notes and payment terms already filled in, so you start from a working invoice instead of a blank page.
2. Replace the sample data
Swap in your own business details, your client, the real quantities and prices. Tax and totals recalculate as you type, so there is no manual arithmetic to get wrong.
3. Download or send it
Export a PDF, or create an e-invoice (XRechnung or ZUGFeRD) when your client needs one. Save the invoice to your account to track it until it is paid.
Questions about this template
What should an auto repair invoice include?
Your shop details, the customer and vehicle, the date, a list of labor and parts with prices, tax, the total and how to pay. Listing labor hours and part numbers avoids disputes later.
Should labor and parts be on separate lines?
Yes. Customers and insurers usually want to see them apart, and in many places tax applies to parts and labor differently.
Is sales tax charged on labor?
It depends on the state. The sample taxes parts only. Check your local rules and set the tax rate per line in the editor.
Can I add a warranty note?
Yes. Add it to the notes field in the editor, for example the warranty period for parts and labor.
