How to use this template
1. Open the template
Click the button above. The editor opens with the lines, notes and payment terms already filled in, so you start from a working invoice instead of a blank page.
2. Replace the sample data
Swap in your own business details, your client, the real quantities and prices. Tax and totals recalculate as you type, so there is no manual arithmetic to get wrong.
3. Download or send it
Export a PDF, or create an e-invoice (XRechnung or ZUGFeRD) when your client needs one. Save the invoice to your account to track it until it is paid.
Questions about this template
Is this template an e-invoice by itself?
No. An e-invoice is a structured file. The template is the starting point; the export creates the XRechnung or ZUGFeRD file from it.
What else does an XRechnung need?
A buyer reference (the Leitweg-ID for public bodies), a seller contact with phone and email, and a payment account. The editor flags what is missing.
Does this work for small-business owners?
Small-business owners under section 19 UStG issue invoices without VAT. Use the Kleinunternehmer template for that.
Is it legal advice?
No. It is a sample. Check the wording and the tax treatment for your case or ask your tax adviser.
